StudioZEPA street artist duo from South Africa, now based in The Netherlands.
The name ZEPA comes from the two artists names: Zesta and Page33.

The two artists met in South Africa in 2011. By 2013 they were collaborating on indoor and outdoor mural projects across South Africa. In 2017 they wanted to expand their horizons and wanted to make participating in the European region easier for themselves.
Why do this?
- Because flights from South Africa to Europe are expensive and long;
- Because they realized they wanted to grow as artists and develop their styles
Zesta started painting graffiti in 2000. Coming from a family involved in the art world and galleries he was exposed to art at a young age. As a young teenager graffiti clicked with him and soon became an obsession. By 2003 he was doing commissioned work. In 2005 he illustrated for project that would have national reach on billboards and in magazines, for Peugeot. Now in 2024 he has worked with many international brands across two continents.
Page33 studied fine art, fashion and music and was working in Everard Read Gallery. This is where the two artists met. Soon they were painting street art recreationally, but in 2013 the two artists started working together full time. Page33 left the gallery to work on her own art and murals.
In the years after that they created hundreds of murals across South Africa. There is more information about the street artists in the about section, so be sure to check this out too. However, this is why the artists started wanting to expand their reach, meet new artists and collaborate with bigger brands.
In 2019 they moved to The Netherlands and started over. Very quickly they started painting across The Netherlands for municipalities, companies and private collectors.

At the end of 2021 they decided to focus on a new style, as a duo. Separating the techniques and styles that they enjoyed the most from everything else they painted commercially. This helped create a recognizable vibrant style.
Today they have worked with brands like STRAAT Museum, KunstMuseum Den Haag, and Heineken to name a few. The increased demand for their work is clear.
With excellent craftmanship and quality put into the artworks it is exciting to see where the journey will lead to next!
